Terms of service, sites48h.co.uk

Effective from 31 October 2026 (version 1).

These terms cover the websites we build and look after for businesses through sites48h.co.uk. They are written to be read in a few minutes. If anything is unclear, email hello@sites48h.co.uk before you accept a preview.

1. Who we are

  1. sites48h.co.uk is run by APTURN SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ (Apturn sp. z o.o.), ul. Pustola 24/49, 01-129 Warsaw, Poland ("Apturn", "we", "us").
  2. Apturn is a limited company registered in Poland in the National Court Register (KRS) under number 0001142653. Polish tax ID (NIP): 5273142724. REGON: 540378447.
  3. Contact us, including for complaints and cancellations, by email at hello@sites48h.co.uk or by post at the address above.

2. Who these terms are for

  1. We work with businesses only: sole traders, partnerships and companies buying a website for their trade or business. By sending the form or accepting a preview you confirm that you are acting for your business, not as a consumer.
  2. "Working day" means Monday to Friday, except public holidays in England and Wales and in Poland.

3. What you get

  1. A one-page website with up to 6 sections, built on one of our layouts for your trade, with a contact form that sends enquiries to your email address.
  2. A .co.uk domain registered in your name (see section 8), hosting, an SSL certificate (https) and backups taken with every change and kept for at least 30 days.
  3. One change a month. A change is an edit within an existing section that does not alter the layout and takes up to 30 minutes, for example new text, a price, a photo, opening hours or a link. Unused changes do not roll over.
  4. Extra changes, new sections or extra pages are optional. We quote the price by email first and only do the work once you agree.

4. Price

  1. The plan costs £0 to set up and £39 a month. The price shown is the price you pay: we do not add VAT to it for UK businesses.
  2. The monthly price is fixed for the first 12 months. After that we may change it with at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Free preview and how the contract is made

  1. Sending the form on sites48h.co.uk is a request, not an order. It is free and you are not committing to anything.
  2. We reply by email to confirm what you need and ask for your details (business name, services, prices, the area you cover, photos and logo if you have them). With that email we send you these terms.
  3. Within 2 working days (48 working hours) of receiving your details we send you a link to a preview of your site. The preview is not indexed by search engines.
  4. You can ask for one round of changes to the preview. A round is one list of comments sent by email; we send the updated preview within 2 working days.
  5. The contract starts when you reply to our email accepting the preview and these terms. Nothing is payable before that.
  6. If you do not accept the preview within 30 days of receiving the link (or the last updated version), or you tell us you are not going ahead, no contract is made, you owe nothing, and we delete the preview and your materials.
  7. The contract is made in English.

6. Payment and invoices

  1. All invoices are issued in pounds sterling (GBP) and paid by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice.
  2. Once you accept the preview we send you an invoice for the first month. When it is paid, we put the site live (section 7).
  3. After that the plan is billed for whole calendar months, in advance. We send the invoice at the start of each month and it is payable by the 10th of that month.
  4. Optional extras ordered during the plan are invoiced after the work is done and are payable within 7 days.
  5. If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we will remind you by email. If it is more than 30 days overdue, we may switch the site off until it is paid, and we will tell you before we do. When the overdue amount is paid, we switch the site back on.

7. Going live and changes during the plan

  1. Within 2 working days of receiving payment for the first month we register your .co.uk domain and put the site live on it.
  2. The live site matches the accepted preview, plus the parts that only work on your domain (for example the contact form sending to your inbox).
  3. Email us the change you need and we will make it within 2 working days.
  4. We may use subcontractors and service providers (for example hosting). We are responsible for their work as if it were our own.
  5. We aim to keep your site online at all times but do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. We tell you by email at least 24 hours before planned maintenance, and we fix faults as soon as we can.

8. Your domain

  1. We register the .co.uk domain for you, with you (your business) as the registrant, and pay for registration and renewals while the plan is active.
  2. To register it we pass your details to the domain registrar and to Nominet, the .uk registry. You agree to their terms for domain holders.
  3. The domain is yours. Whenever the plan ends, for whatever reason, it stays with you: on request we hand it over to the registrar of your choice (for .uk domains by changing the IPS tag) within 3 working days.
  4. If you already own a domain, we can connect it instead.

9. Cancelling

  1. There is no fixed term or minimum period. You can cancel at any time by email with one month's notice, ending at the end of a calendar month.
  2. We can end the plan with the same notice only for a good reason we explain in writing, or straight away if, after a warning, your site is used for unlawful content.
  3. When the plan ends we switch the site off and hand the domain over as described in section 8.
  4. We keep the site files and backups for 30 days after the site is switched off, then delete them.
  5. Monthly fees for months in which the site was live are not refundable.

10. Your content

  1. You are responsible for the text, photos, logo and other material you send us, and you confirm you have the right to use them (including consent from people shown in photos).
  2. You give us a non-exclusive, free licence to use that material to build, host and maintain your site.
  3. Photos in our demo sites come from Unsplash. If we use them on your site, they are supplied as part of the site under the Unsplash licence (https://unsplash.com/license).
  4. We may show your site as an example of our work. Tell us by email if you would rather we did not, and we will remove it.

11. Our layouts

Our layouts, their code, design and standard texts belong to Apturn and are used for many clients. While your plan is active you have a non-exclusive licence to use them as part of your site.

12. Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
  2. Otherwise, our total liability under the contract is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  3. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect loss.
  4. We are not responsible for the content you provide (for example prices, service descriptions or photos), or for the accuracy of the details you give us for the domain registration and invoices.

13. Complaints

Email complaints to hello@sites48h.co.uk with a short description of the problem. We reply within 14 days.

14. Personal data

  1. How we handle personal data from sites48h.co.uk and its form is explained in our privacy policy at https://sites48h.co.uk/privacy.
  2. Your site may collect your customers' details, for example through its contact form. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor. The Data Processing Addendum at the end of these terms applies to it and forms part of the contract.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for a good reason, such as a change in law or in how we provide the service. We will email clients with an active plan at least 14 days before a change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel before it takes effect at no extra cost.

16. Which law applies and where disputes go

  1. The contract is between two businesses and is governed by Polish law.
  2. If we cannot sort out a disagreement by email, it will be decided by the courts in Warsaw, Poland.

Data Processing Addendum

This addendum covers personal data that your site collects and that we handle for you (UK GDPR Article 28). "You" are the controller, Apturn is the processor.

  1. Subject and duration. We host your site and pass on the messages sent through its forms, for as long as your plan lasts, plus the deletion period in point 8.
  2. Nature and purpose. Storing, transmitting and backing up data only so that your site and its forms work.
  3. Types of data. What visitors enter in your site's forms (usually name, phone number, email address and message), and technical data such as IP address and browser details.
  4. Data subjects. Visitors to your site and people who contact you through it.
  5. Our obligations. We:
    1. process the data only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and what you ask us by email, unless the law requires otherwise (we will tell you if so, unless the law forbids it);
    2. make sure everyone at Apturn who has access to the data is bound by confidentiality;
    3. keep the data secure with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS only, access limited to authorised staff, and backups;
    4. help you, as far as we reasonably can, to respond to people exercising their data rights and to meet your security, breach notification and impact assessment duties;
    5. tell you without undue delay, and in any case within 48 hours, after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data;
    6. give you the information you need to show that we meet these obligations, and allow reasonable audits with at least 30 days' notice, at your cost.
  6. Sub-processors. You agree that we use these sub-processors: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, content delivery, form handling, security) and Plus Five Five, Inc. trading as Resend (sending form emails to your inbox). We will tell you by email at least 14 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor; you can object, and if we cannot meet your objection you can cancel without notice. We put the same data protection obligations on our sub-processors and remain responsible for them.
  7. Transfers. Our sub-processors may process data in the USA. We rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
  8. When the plan ends. We delete the site and the data in it within 30 days of the site being switched off, including backups, unless the law requires us to keep it. Before that, you can ask us for a copy.
